Our music program is an integral and important part of our Sunday morning worship services, as well as special occasions throughout the year.  We have a new Music Director, Janet Lunsford.  We are so excited to have her and the talent she brings.  Please check back here soon for updated information about our Music Program.  Welcome Janet!!

Chancel Choir

This adult choir sings at the 11:00am service every Sunday, with occasional appearances at the 8:15am and 9:30am services. If you have a desire to sing, please come to our rehearsals from 7:30pm-9:00pm on Thursday evenings. CURRENTLY ON VACATION WILL RESUME MID-AUGUST 2010.

Children's Choir

Children's Choir Rehearsal is lively and varied!  The children will be singing and carrying Palms on Palm Sunday!  We meet in the Choir room on Wednesday afternoons  at 5:00pm.  Please join us for fun and fellowship and ......PRAISING GOD!!

Praise Team

The Praise Team provides music for our contemporary service each Sunday at 9:30. They practice Wednesday evenings at 7:30pm.  If you play an instrument and would like to join the team, contact the church office!

Handbell Choir

The GUMC Handbell Choir will be beginning very soon!  We are waiting on two bass bells that have been donated. If you love the sound of handbells and you can read Treble or Bass Clef, we are looking for you!  Free reviews! :)....or call Janet Lunsford at 703 754-4588!!!  

GUMBALLS

(Gainesville United Methodist Barbershop Acapella Lads [& Lady] Singers)
If you've ever thought about singing those great, tight four-part harmonies, the time is now! We sing TTBB arrangements with as many voices as show up for rehearsal. It's a fun way to fellowship in music and participate in a unique ministry. In past years, the GUMBALLS have also had the opportunity to perform in conjunction with music instruction programs at local schools. We rehearse on Sundays from 12:15pm - 1:15pm.
